Saudi child was raped and tortured to death by her own FATHER after her doubted her virginity

Lama Al Ghamdi

Feb 16, 2013, SAUDI ARABIA — Many in the Saudi community are outraged after hearing news that a father, who had raped and tortured his child to death, had been ordered to pay a mere $50,000 in “blood money” to the murdered child’s mother after having served a very lenient jail sentence.

Lama Al Ghamdi was only five-years-old when she was brought to a hospital on December 25, 2011 with horrific injuries, including a crushed skull, broken ribs, a broken left arm, extensive bruising and burns.

She died last October 22, 2012.

Randa Al Kaleeb, a social worker from the hospital where Lama was admitted, said her back was broken and that she had been raped “everywhere”.

According to Lama’s mother, hospital staff told her that her “child’s rectum had been torn open and the abuser had attempted to burn it closed.”

The father, Fayhan Al Gamdi, who is also a Islamic preacher and regular guest on Muslim TV networks, confessed to having used cables and a cane to inflict the injuries to his daughter. When asked how he could do this to his own daughter al-Ghamdi said that he beat her after he began to doubt her virginity. He then brought her to be checked by medics who determined that the young girl had been raped repeatedly threw out her short life.

Lama’s mother, who is divorced from the father, continues to campaign to have her former husband executed, arguing that it is the proper Islamic punishment for his crime. However, al-Ghamdi has a reputation in the kingdom due to his frequent appearances on Muslim television networks, where he considers himself to be an expert of religious law and practices.

Reports have stated that the judge overseeing his case had ruled the prosecution could only seek “blood money and the time the father had served in jail would suffice” (blood money is still considered part of “Islamic Law.”)

This news quickly spread and angered many Saudis and others around the world.

The Justice Ministry quickly intervened, stressing that al-Ghamdi was still in custody.

In the mean time, anger over Lama’s brutal death has since turned to outrage over the possible release of her killer. Lama’s mother is planning to testify against her ex-husband in an attempt t push for a stricter punishment.

The Worst Case of Child Abuse In US History – The Murder of Baby Brianna (GRAPHIC)

Brianna Mariah Lopez a.k.a “Baby Brianna” (February 14, 2002 – July 19, 2002)

Brianna Lopez who is also known to many as “Baby Brianna”, was a baby girl who was born in a New Mexico hospital on Valentines Day, 2002 to her mother, Stephanie Lopez and her father, Andy Walters. She would have turned eleven years old on February 14, 2013 but sadly, she never made it.

When Baby Brianna left the hospital after her birth she moved into a home in Las Cruces, N.M. shared by her parents and Uncle, Steven Lopez.

The abuse started almost immediately. Instead of hugs and kisses Brianna received slaps and pinches. She was tormented on a daily basis, both verbally and physically. Slapped, kicked, punched, pinched, thrown, raped, etc. You name it this infant endured it.

When Brianna would cry at the pain that was inflicted on her, her abusers would laugh and stuff her mouth with clothing to muffle her screams. Her own mother would bite and pinch her when she got frustrated by the crying, but for the most part it was the infant’s father and uncle who tormented her while Stephanie sat back and ignored her daughter’s cries.

Medical examiners would later report the marks as being both old and new which proved prolong abuse. Brianna also had bleeding on her brain, both old and new, as well as broken ribs, broken legs, broken arms, lacerations to her fingers, vagina and anus. She had been abused everyday of her short life.

Baby Brianna was what many would consider a strong baby because she managed to survive 153 days despite coming into this cruel world weighing only several pounds.

On the evening of July 18th, 2002 Andy went out to purchase beer and when he came home they all proceeded to get drunk. Stephanie claimed to have had only a few beers before heading to bed in the same room the others were in. During this time both Andy and Steven decided to play their own sick, demented game where they would toss Brianna up in the air, let her hit the ceiling and watch her tumble to the ground. They would later tell authorities that Brianna was screaming and wailing when this was happening. Apparently the baby’s mother didn’t hear her daughter screaming and crying in agony.

Early the next morning on July 19, 2002 at approximately 7:15a.m. Stephanie awoke to Brianna crying and noticed fresh bruises on her and asked the others what happened. They told her that they may have been “a little to rough with her last night”. She accepted their answer and ignored her child’s injuries.

That same morning Stephanie noticed Brianna needed a diaper change and Andy volunteered to do it.  During the diaper change he wrapped a baby wipe around his finger and inserted it into Brianna’s anus. He also sodomized her with foreign objects. When Stephanie noticed Brianna near death she ignored it and decided to wait several hours before calling an ambulance. When she did find the time to call them, she lied and told them her daughter had fallen from her high chair. Apparently she was delusional enough to think authorities would by that story.

Brianna was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead at 11:10AM. She was just 5 months and 5 days old.

This photo shows the back of Brianna’s head where you can see a large bite mark to her earlobe.

The first officer to see baby Brianna in the hospital was Detective Lindell Wright. He remembers one thought going through his mind:  “I’ve got a lot to do.”

“Literally bruised from head to toe, from the top of her head all throughout her body all the way to the big toe on her right foot.” said Governor Susana Martinez who prosecuted Brianna’s family.

They took sadistic joy out of torturing this infant. Not one family member cared about her, not one of them attempted to protect her and there’s zero proof to suggest she was ever shown love in her short life. She was there for their own sadistic amusement.

When police searched the home they couldn’t find one toy or even a photo of Brianna laughing or smiling.  No evidence to indicate she enjoyed one moment of her life.

Many relatives including Brianna’s grandparents knew what was occurring but ignored it. They knew their granddaughter was being raped by both her father and uncle, they knew she had pinch marks from head to toe in different stages of healing, they knew she was being tormented and had marks, cuts and lacerations but they turned a blind eye and let it continue for five, going on six more months until baby Brianna’s little body couldn’t handle the abuse any longer.

Officer Wright has seen alot during his career but Brianna’s case will haunt him for life.

“I cried my eyes out. It will stay with me for the rest of my life. It tests you to the point you’re not sure you can speak,””You’re afraid that the emotion will take over.” said Wright.

At the time Brianna was murdered a person who committed intentional child abuse resulting in death faced a maximum of 18 years in prison.

“Eighteen years for the life of a child?” State Sen. Mary Jane Garcia of Doña Ana said. “I thought it was absurd.”

It took three years of trying and in 2005, Senate Bill 166, also known as the “Baby Brianna Bill” was officially signed into law by Governor Bill Richardson. The bill made child abuse, which results in death, a first degree felony in New Mexico and set the mandatory minimum sentence at 30 years in prison.

Three relatives, including her grandparents, were sentenced to 30 days in jail for failing to report the abuse. The maximum is one year.

Stephanie Lopez was convicted of negligent child abuse after she failed to do anything to help her child.  The New Mexico Corrections Department said that she could be released as early as September 28, 2016. Less than 15 for her daughter’s torture death. The New Mexico State Parole Board said that it’s almost certain that she’ll be released, provided that she finds a suitable home and can meet the requirements of her release conditions.

The public was outraged when they heard about the possible release. Dozens created petitions which quickly gained signatures and many called the Governor.

brianna_lopez_gravesite

Thousands of people in the community weeped over Brianna’s horrific death. Mourners who never had the chance to meet Brianna in life came together for the baby girl in her after-life. They paid for her casket and burial and claimed her body when nobody else did. Her gravesite became a memorial site with dozens of toys and flowers, something Brianna’s family didn’t approve of.

Brianna’s family and relatives didn’t put a penny towards the child’s funeral, burial and grave-stone. Heck, they didn’t even claim her, the community did. Her family didn’t want Brianna to receive love even after her death and went out of their way to purchase a cage to go over her gravestone in an attempt to shield her. The cage is a mess, unkempt and full of trash.

The community refused to let Brianna and her story simmer and still placed flowers around the cage. They’ve also created another memorial site to visit and remember the little girl who never had a chance.

When asked why they put a cage over Brianna’s grave-site, Brianna’s family had little to say.

“They were asked, and they said they just wanted to be left alone and they wanted Brianna to be left alone,” Martinez said.

Inside the cage is a cherub with a finger raised to her lips. Some believe it’s a message.

“My first thought was, ‘Let’s not talk about what’s occurred here,'” Lopez said.

The community vows to not let that happen.  People still visit and leave flowers and have built another marker as well.  Brianna’s story has been told dozens of times and is still being told over a decade later on websites and online memorials including  Brianna Lopez Last Memories and Facebook memorials such as In Loving Memory of Baby Brianna

Detectives, social workers and prosecutors who worked on her case will also remember Brianna.

“Before they started the autopsy and her little face was lying on a white sheet and I thought she looks asleep,” Wright said. “So I just took the picture.”

The picture was photo-shopped to edit out all the marks, bruises and scars she had.  It’s the Brianna the community likes to remember.

“There’s a photograph of her to carry on of her little life,” Wright said.

The picture hangs on the wall next to Susana Martinez’s desk.

“It’s a reminder, of course, of why we do what we do,” Martinez said. “If you forget you’ll either become calloused or you will become Jell-O. “You can’t do this job well unless you are in the middle, and that’s just a good reminder why we do it.”

Brianna is never far from the detective either. “It drives me to work harder to prevent, to be a voice for every child of abuse,” Wright said. “That’s what it does.”

The Stalking Murder of Mindy Schloss

ImageViewMindy Schloss was 52 in the Summer of ’07 and a popular, ambitious nurse psychologist. The happy, dark-haired woman was attractive and when she smiled her eyes reflected her happiness. In the weeks prior to her murder, she had been making good on plans for the next stage of her career. After spending the majority of her working life laboring for others — and commuting long distances to Fairbanks, Alaska — she had recently signed a lease for an office in Anchorage. She was going to start her own practice and become her own boss, accomplishments that would have also benefited the citizens of Fairbanks. People with her expertise were, after all, rare in those parts. Sadly, Mindy Schloss would not live to realize her longtime dream of professional independence.

Joshua Wade, resided at 6902 Cutty Sark Road, the house next door to her own. He was already, in his own mind, living intimately with her, watching her, fostering a sexual rage and waiting to take that intimacy to the next, deadly level. His bedroom window allowed him voyeuristic access to Schloss’ kitchen and, as a result, it’s safe to assume that Joshua Wade’s watched Schloss going about her daily domestic routine as his life spun ever more wildly out of control, and that his sexual frustration, anger, and violent, lethal rage settled on Schloss.

Rewinding back to Wade’s earlier years, he spent most of his life in detention centers and when he wasnt in a detention center he was being arrested (then released) for one crime or another.

According to documents introduced into evidence by the prosecution, Wade “has demonstrated violent and aggressive behavior from on or about the age of 10 and continuing into his adult life, and between 2000 and 2007, has violently killed two women.” Wade’s first brush with the law was at age 12. At 16 he was caught carrying a handgun, and by 19 he was an accused-but-acquitted felon. Unfortunately Wade’s criminal career was only getting started.

The next year, at age 20, Wade violently raped and murdered Della Brown, a 33 year-old Native American woman by bashing her head in with a rock. When he was through, all that was left of Schloss was decomposing in the woods near Wasilia, Alaska.

Della-BrownDuring the trial the coroner testified that Brown’s skull was so damaged it resembled a “bag of ice.” Brown’s hair had either been cut or ripped out; and burnt matches littered the shed’s floor near her body. Brown’s body had been found by unsympathetic gawkers who paraded through the shed for days, lighting matches to see her battered corpse. No one called 911. Although initially Wade confessed to the murder, he soon recanted. His lawyer claimed that Wade had merely been trying to impress his associates.

The jury was swayed by his defense, and Wade was acquitted of Della Brown’s murder. He was, however, convicted of evidence tampering in the case.

After the acquittal, Wade, who has the unfortunate tendency to grandstand, stated, “Even though 12 people said I’m not guilty, everyone believes I am guilty….I just want to say thank you to my jury for being fair.”

He went on to say, “The only thing at all in this case that I’m sorry for is I did not call the police whenever I found that lady’s body,” clearly showing no remorse for the crime of which he had been convicted.

Fast-foward to the night of August 3rd, 2007. Wade turn’s his sick fantasy into reality.

Wade and his housemates threw a party. This was the end of a long, difficult week at work for Wade. He had several combative exchanges with his supervisors, and had even gone so far as to walk off of the job. The day of the party Wade arrived at his job only to be sent home for his argumentative and aggressive behavior.

Sometime around 1:30 a.m. Mindy Schloss signed out of her email and shut down her computer. According to the timeline established by investigators, she then went to sleep. Not long after, Wade made his way into Schloss’ home, subdued her, and painfully bound her arms and legs with plastic restraints, zip ties commonly used by law enforcement. With Schloss immobilized, Wade returned to his house, retrieved his Glock and returned to abduct Schloss in her own vehicle. They stopped at several locations, including at least one ATM where Wade withdrew cash from Schloss’ checking account.

After her disappearance when police canvassed the neighborhood, a neighbor reported hearing a woman’s screams in the early morning hours of August 4. According to court documents, this “witness observed a small red car matching generally the description of the victim’s car in the parking lot of a bank, and heard a woman’s voice in that area screaming loudly ‘Rape!’ and ‘Call the police!’ or words to that effect.” Although the court documents do not specify, it seems, sadly, that no witnesses contacted police that night with this information.

After Wade was done robbing Schloss, he drove her nearly an hour away to Wasilia, Alaska, where he marched an abused and tortured Schloss into the woods and unceremoniously executed her.

It took nearly a month before her decomposed remains were discovered.

Texas Set To Put Mentally Retarded Child Killer To Death In Less Than 48 Hours

Too mentally ill to be executed: Attorneys for Jonathan Green argue that he should be spared

Pictured; Jonathan Marcus Green

Jonathan Green, a Texas death-row inmate, will be put to death on Wednesday night and will be the 487th inmate executed in the state since the reinstatement of the death penalty.

On June 21st, 2000, Green kidnapped 12-year old Christina Neal near Lake Conroe, in Montgomery County, TX. He then brought her to his house where he then raped and strangled her to death. He buried her in his yard but eventually dug her up and placed her corpse in his home behind a chair, where it would be found less than one week later by police.

Pictured; Victim, Christina LeAnn Neal

Green was initially suppose to be executed in June, 2010 but had a last minute stay of execution so that appeals courts could evaluate his mental condition and determine whether he is competent to be executed. Green suffers from schizophrenia, and his attorney claims he also is borderline mentally retarded. His attorney also claim’s he didn’t know what he was doing at the time of the kidnapping and murder.

But prosecutors claimed he knew exactly what he was doing and that it was wrong hence the reason he buried her and tried to burn evidence.

It was ruled that he will be executed Wednesday night, October 10th, 2012.

Full story on Christina LeAnn Neal’s kidnap, rape and murder:

In June 2000, Victor Neal, who was separated from his wife
Laura, lived in the small community of Dobbin with his three daughters:
sixteen-year-old Victoria, fifteen-year-old Jennifer, and the victim,
twelve-year-old Christina. On the evening of June 21, 2000, Victor and Jennifer
left home to get dinner for the family. Victoria and Christina said that they
would eat when they returned from a friend’s house. The friend, Maria Jimenez,
lived just down the street from the Neal family. After Victor and Jennifer left,
Victoria’s boyfriend (and Maria’s uncle), Manuel Jimenez, came by the house to
pick up the two girls. After driving around for a while, the group went to
Maria’s house where they stood outside talking with Maria and her two brothers,
Martin and Jose. While standing outside by the truck, Victoria and Christina
began arguing. Victoria walked away from the argument and toward Maria’s house,
leaving Christina and Jose outside. Shortly thereafter, Jose told Victoria that
Christina was angry and had left. When Victoria returned home, she discovered
that Christina was not there. The next morning, Victor saw Jennifer and Victoria
sleeping on the couch. He also noticed that the door to the girls’ bedroom was
closed. Assuming Christina was asleep in the bedroom, Victor left for work. When
he got home about 3:00 or 4:00 p.m., Jennifer and Victoria told him that
Christina had never returned home the night before. Victor asked the girls to go
to Maria’s house and tell Christina to come home. They found that Christina was
not at Maria’s house. After learning about the argument between Christina and
Victoria the night before, Victor concluded that Christina had spent the night
at another friend’s house, and the family began searching the neighborhood.
Along the road near the Neal home, Victoria and Maria found Christina’s glasses.
The glasses were “smashed and broken,” but Victoria testified that Christina had
a habit of destroying her glasses when she got mad. Victor stopped looking for
Christina around 11:00 or 11:30 p.m. The next morning, Victor asked his sister,
Tereza Goodwin, to look for Christina while he was at work. Christina had run
away before, so Victor told Tereza to report her as a runaway if she could not
find her. Later that day, having failed to locate Christina, Tereza reported her
missing to a Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputy. Local law-enforcement officers
then joined the family in searching for Christina. On June 26, the FBI joined
the search. On that same day, Jennifer and her mother found what appeared to be
Christina’s panties at the edge of the woods across from the Neal home. Also
around this time, Victoria found Christina’s bracelet and necklace along a
pathway in the woods. The search continued. On June 28, investigators spoke with
Jonathan Marcus Green, who lived in Dobbin. He said he had no information
concerning Christina’s disappearance, and that he was either at home or at his
neighbor’s house on the night she disappeared. He gave the investigators
permission to search his home and property, with the condition that he be
present. Investigators performed a cursory search of the house and property, but
they noticed nothing significant. A few days later, investigators again asked
Green his whereabouts on the night of Christina’s disappearance. Again, Green
claimed to have been at home or at his neighbor’s house. On July 19, Manuel
Jimenez, who lived on the property behind Green’s, told investigators that Green
had an unusually large fire in his burn pile the day after Christina
disappeared. A few days later, investigators went to Green’s home and asked if
they could search his property again, including his burn pile. Green again
consented, but insisted that he be present during the search. FBI agents Sue
Hillard and Mark Young walked around the burn pile with Green. Young pushed a
metal probe into the ground to vent the soil and check for any disturbances.
When the probe sank three feet into the ground at one location, Young determined
that the ground had been disturbed or dug up in that area; he concluded that the
disturbed section covered a very large area. He also smelled a distinct odor
emanating from the disturbed section of ground which he identified as “some sort
of decaying body.” The investigation team then began to dig up the disturbed
area. Green, who had been cooperative up to that point, became angry and told
the officers to get off his property. The investigative team returned to Green’s
property later that night with a search warrant. They discovered that part of
the burn pile had been excavated, leaving what appeared to be a shallow grave.
They also smelled the “extremely foul, fetid odor” of a “dead body in a decaying
state.” When investigators asked Green what had happened at the burn pile, Green
said that he had dug the pit to show authorities that “there was no dead body in
there.” An officer then arrived with a “cadaver dog,” trained to detect human
remains. As the dog was walking to the burn pile, it alerted to the house. Upon
entering the house, the dog repeatedly went to the side of a recliner that was
wedged into a corner of the room. Agent Hillard looked behind the recliner and
saw “a foot sticking out of the top of [a blue] bag” and what appeared to be
human remains. Before the discovery was announced, Green was overheard to say,
“Those Mexicans are setting me up” and “put a body in my house.” The remains
were identified as Christina’s. The medical examiner, Dr. Joye Carter, concluded
from a ligature mark around Christina’s neck that Christina was strangled. She
also determined that Christina’s arms had been tied behind her back and that
Christina had been sexually assaulted before she died. She testified that the
body had been wrapped in a blanket and placed inside a blue bag. During the
course of the autopsy, various materials were recovered from Christina’s body.
Two black hairs that did not appear to be Christina’s were found in her pubic
area. Based on the way Christina was positioned within the blanket, Carter
determined that the hairs must have been present before her body was wrapped in
the blanket, and could not have been transferred there afterward.
Mitochondrial-DNA testing excluded 99.7% of the African-American population as a
source of the hair. Green, an African-American, could not be excluded from the
remaining 0.3%. Carter also recovered a black cotton cloth from Christina’s
mouth. The cloth was positioned in such a way that Carter determined, to a
medical certainty, that the cloth did not cause Christina’s death. Criminalist
Bradley Mullins from the Texas Department of Public Safety crime lab testified
that many of the fibers recovered from Christina’s body matched fiber samples
seized from Green’s property and residence. On the panties that were recovered
near the Neal home five days after Christina had disappeared and nearly a month
before her body was found, Mullins found a fiber that had characteristics
identical to carpet in Green’s residence.

44 Days Of Hell – The Murder Of Junko Furuta

44-days-of-hell November 25th, 1988 – January 4th, 1989

TOKYO, JAPAN → Born November 22nd, 1972, Junko Furuta had just celebrated her 17th birthday three days prior. The  Japanese teenager and Junior (grade 11) attended Yashio-Minami High School in Saitama Prefecture in Misato.

On November 25th, 1988, Junko left School and was walking home (although some reports say she was walking to her part-time after school job.) She never made it home.

She was kidnapped by a group of young men, including a 17-year-old who was identified as ‘Jō’ and would be later given the surname Kamisaku. They kept her captive in the house owned by the parents of Kamisaku, in the Ayase district of Adachi, Tokyo.

That was the beginning of her 44 days of torture. She didn’t know her abductors, they had no grudge against her and there was nothing specific that they were after. They attacked her because they could, embarking on weeks of atrocities because they could, and because they wanted to.

To forestall a manhunt, the kidnappers coerced Furuta into calling her mother and telling her that she had run away from home, but was with “a friend” and was not in danger. He also browbeat her into posing as one of the boys’ girlfriends when the parents of the house where she was held were around, but when it became clear that the parents didn’t care either way, he dropped this pretext.

Pictured; Far left: Junko,  three of the unidentified abductors and the home in which Junko was taken to and raped and tortured for 44-days. The same home she will eventually die alone in.

DAY 1: November 22, 1988: Kidnapped
Kept captive in house, and posed as one of boy’s girlfriend
Raped (over 400 times in total)
Forced to call her parents and tell them she had run away
Starved and malnutrition
Fed cockroaches to eat and urine to drink
Forced to masturbate
Forced to strip in front of others
Burned with cigarette lighters and set off fireworks in her ears, mouth, vagina
Foreign objects inserted into her vagina/anus including a still lit light-bulb
DAY 11: December 1, 1988: Severely beat up countless times
Face held against concrete ground and jumped on
Hands tied to ceiling and body used as a punching bag  until her damaged internal organs made blood run from her mouth
Nose filled with so much blood that she can only breath through her mouth
Dumbbells dropped onto her stomach
Vomited when tried to drink water (her stomach couldn’t accept it)
Tried to escape and punished by cigarette burning on arms
Flammable liquid poured on her feet and legs, then lit on fire
Bottle inserted into her anus, causing injury
DAY 20: December10, 1988: Unable to walk properly due to severe leg burns
Beat with bamboo sticks
Fireworks inserted into anus and lit
Hands smashed by weights and fingernails kracked
Beaten with golf club
Cigarettes inserted into vagina and forced to drink her own urine as they laughed
Beaten with iron rods repeatedly
Winter; forced outside to sleep in balcony
Skewers of grilled chicken inserted into her vagina and anus, causing bleeding.

And yet she’d almost escaped. One time she reached the telephone—but one of the boys caught her just in time and ended the call for help. They punished her by taunting her with a candle flame and finally dousing her legs in lighter fluid and set her on fire, as punishment for trying to run away. She went into convulsions; the boys would later say that they thought she was faking the seizure. They set her on fire again, then put it out. She survived this round.

DAY 30: Hot wax dripped onto face
Eyelids burned by cigarette lighter
Stabbed with sewing needles in chest area
Left nipple cut and destroyed with pliers
Hot light bulb inserted into her vagina
Heavy bleeding from vagina due to scissors insertion
Unable to urinate properly
Injuries were so severe that it took over an hour for her to crawl downstairs and use the bathroom
Eardrums severely damaged
Extreme reduced brain size
.
DAY 40: Begged her tortures to “kill her and get it over with”
January 1, 1989: Junko greets the New Years Day alone
Body mutilated
Unable to move from the ground
.
DAY 44: January 4, 1989: The four boys beat her mutilated body with an iron barbell, using a loss at the game of Mah-jongg as a pretext. She is profusely bleeding from her mouth and nose. They put a candle’s flame to her face and eyes.
Then, lighter fluid was poured onto her legs, arms, face and stomach, and then lit on fire. This final torture lasted for a time of two hours. Junko Furuta died later that day, in pain and alone. Nothing could compare 44 days of suffering she had to go through.
Less than 24-hours later, on January 5th, 1988, the killers hid Junko’s body in a 55-gallon drum, then filled it with concrete; they disposed the drum in a tract of reclaimed land in Kōtō,Tokyo.
When her mother heard the news and details of what happened to her daughter, she passed-out. She had to undergo a psychiatric outpatient treatment.
According to their statements at their trial, the four of them raped her, beat her, introduced foreign objects including an iron rod into her vagina, made her drink her own urine and was fed cockroaches, inserted fireworks into her anus, and set them off, forced Furuta to masturbate, cut her nipple with pliers, dropped dumbbells onto her stomach, and burned her with cigarettes and lighters. (One of the burnings was punishment for attempting to call the police.)At one point her injuries were so severe that according to one of the boys it took more than an hour for her to crawl downstairs to use the bathroom. They also related that “possibly a hundred different people” knew that Furuta had been imprisoned there, but it is not clear if this means they visited the house at different times while she was imprisoned there, or themselves either raped or abused her. When the boys refused to let her leave, she begged them on several occasions to “kill (her) and get it over with“.
Three of the boys identities were sealed by the court because of their age, even though they were tried as adults. They pled guilty to a reduced charge of “committing bodily injury that resulted in death”, instead of the original charge of murder. Jo Kamisaku was released in August 1999, and nearly 5 years later he was arrested and served 7 years for assualting a jealous love-rival and according to others who know him and spent time in prison with him, he had been bragging about what he had done to Furuta.

By 2004, Kamisaku, who was already released from prison for Junko’s horrific murder,  had allegedly renewed his contacts with the underworld, and was in trouble with the law again.

He was arrested for assaulting a 27-year-old acquaintance, Takatoshi Isono. Upset that a woman in his life might be involved with Isono, Kamisaku tracked the man down, beat him, shoved him in his trunk, drove him from Adachi to his mother’s bar in Misato, Furuta’s hometown, and continued to beat him. During the four-hour beating, Kamisaku allegedly threatened to kill the man, telling him that he’d killed before and knew how to get away with it.

During his trial Kamisaku admitted to the assault, but he denied that he’d referred to any previous murder or had threatened Isono.

Prosecutors wanted Kamisaku to spend another 7 years in prison. They got a conviction and the sentence they wanted.

Kamisaku has since been released again.

Young Man Raped And Brutally Murdered Teen Exactly One Year Ago Today

Alyssa Otremba (Pictured Below) Was Murdered September 2nd, 2011

A Facebook memorial page has been set up in her honor.

15-year-old Alyssa Otremba was walking home in Las Vegas after. The sophomore from Arbor-View-Highschool had gone to her friends house to pick-up a text-book so she could do homework. Sometime during her ”errand” she texted her mother to tell her she’d be home within a half an hour. She never made it home.

Police, friends and family began searching for her shortly after. She was found 1-day later by friends searching for her who happen to come across her body in a vacant lot.
The teen had been beaten, raped, stabbed to death then the killer bent over robbed the teenager of her money/possesions. If that wasn’t enough, he then decided lighting her on fire would eliminate any DNA. Well, it didn’t.

It took Investigators several days to find Alyssa’s killer. Nineteen-year-old Javier Righetti was arrested for the murder of Alyssa Otremba. He not only confessed to police, but he admitted that he has done this before.

Righetti was caught after he needed some help burning Alyssa’s body Friday night. A girl who knew Alyssa says her boyfriend, Daniel Ortiz, began getting calls from Righetti at midnight on the night of the murder.

He asked Ortiz to stop by his home. That’s when Righetti confessed that he’d robbed several people that day and killed a girl in a lot. At first Ortiz didn’t believe him, thinking that his friend was just high. But he drove Righetti to a convenience store to buy matches and a container of gas.

They then drove to the vacant lot to torch Alyssa’s body. That’s when Ortiz told Righetti he was going to throw up and took off in his car. He refused to answer Righetti’s calls from then on.

Righetti He’s had run-ins with the police before, and detectives apparently arrested him after a tip. Possibly from Ortiz.

Alyssa didn’t know Righetti and her sexual assualt and murder was a random act from a cruel young man who will now spend the rest of his pathetic, lonely life in jail while Alyssa is resting in peace.

Originally Publish Aug 2nd, 2012 → An 18-year-old Kansas woman faces a penalty of 25 years to life in prison for allegedly molesting a 3-year-old boy. Ashleigh Geist of Olathe is charged with aggravated criminal sodomy for a crime that police say took place on July 9. The victim is reportedly not a relative of Geist’s.

Geist was arrested Tuesday, and was actively engaging in social media until police arrived to take her to to Johnson County Jail. She had very active Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram accounts, where she displayed a marked interest in crafts, cooking, family and religion. On the day of her arrest, she tweeted about making something for the family mantle. She finished high school this May, and excitedly tweeted about graduation and her high ACT score. Now, Geist is being held on $250000.00 bond.

Because of the alleged victim’s age, prosecutors are seeking a life sentence. If given the maximum penalty, Geist would be eligible for parole after 25 years. Police and the alleged victim’s family have withheld details of the crime and the investigation leading up to Geist’s arrest.

Johnson County District Attorney Steve Howe remarked that charges of sodomy are usually seen in cases involving male defendants. ”It’s unusual for us to see a female defendant in these types of cases,” said Howe. “We have had other cases where we’ve had female defendants committing these types of crimes but it is unusual.” According to Kansas state laws, sodomy is defined as “oral contact or oral penetration of the female genitalia or oral contact of the male genitalia; anal penetration, however slight, of a male or female by any body part or object; or oral or anal copulation or sexual intercourse between a person and an animal.”
